The Historic 1860 Lighthouse peeks through the rigging of both the “Liberty Clipper “ and the “When and If” tall ships docked side by side in Port Washington, WI harbor
In 1849, a light tower was erected on top the north bluff overlooking downtown. Re-built in 1860, the historic light station includes the lighthouse with lantern room atop the modified school house design and keeper’s living quarters. It can be seen here framed by the rigging of these two tall ships which were docked beside each other in the Port Washington Harbor.
