The Khafre Pyramid is the second largest pyramid in Egypt, only about 10 meters lower than the Great Pyramid. It’s unique in that the remains of the original cladding have been preserved in its upper part. It is said that this pyramid was built under the command of Pharaoh Khafre, who was the son of Cheops and father of Menkaure. It is also believed that he ordered the construction of the Sphinx.
