"Old Man Over Skye" Panorama - $140

$140.00

This comes as a matted 16×40 (12×36 image) print.

The Old Man of Storr rock formation sits to the right in this scene atop the mountain of Storr.

This view features Trotternish Ridge with Loch Portree in the background on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, UK. The word Storr comes from Old Norse and means “big” or “great.” Locals often speak of ancient tales where giants once roamed the Isle of Skye. One particular legend holds that the Old Man of Storr was a giant himself. He lived on the Isle and, when he passed away, was laid to rest with his thumb poking out of the earth. This “thumb” is what we now refer to as the Old Man of Storr.

This is also available as a canvas print here.
