"Moon Magnetism"

from $45.00

Water surrounds the Port Washington Pierhead Light as the 2016 “Super Duper” Supermoon rises just to its left with a wisp of clouds tying the light to moon in Port Washington, WI.

This moon was the closest, brightest, and biggest full moon since January 26, 1948. A perigee or Supermoon is on average 7% bigger and 16% brighter than an average full moon. During an unusually close perigee like this one, though, the full moon can be 12–14% larger than a full moon at apogee (sometimes called a micromoon) and 30% brighter.
