"Claggy Day Over Glenfinnan"

from $55.00

The Glenfinnan Viaduct in Glenfinnan, Scotland, UK, curves from left to right with greenery in the foreground and a misty hillside in back.

The Glenfinnan Viaduct is a whopping 380m long, making it the longest concrete railway bridge in Scotland as it crosses the River Finnan at an impressive height of 30m. The building of the Glenfinnan Viaduct started in 1897 and was completed in 1898, although the railway line extension from Fort William to Mallaig was not actually completed in full until 1901. Until the line was fully operational the Glenfinnan Viaduct was just used to transport materials across the valley.

This is also available as a canvas print here.
